Considering buying a HopperGo

I'm thinking about buying a HopperGo unit. I am curious about the WiFi network it sets up that you connect to for viewing. What frequency does it broadcast on 2.4 or 5 Ghz? Does it have the ability to auto select a non interfering WiFi channel on start up? Does that selection occur when the unit is powered on?

Hello Jack. The specs I have are: Wi-Fi: 802.11n dual-band, 2.4 and 5 GHz, Flash Memory: 64GB, Playback Duration: Up to 100 hours of media content, Rechargeable Battery: 4+ hours of continuous streaming over Wi-Fi; battery not removable. I do believe the Hopper Go provides it's own specific hotspot for the devices to use. No internet needed to watch the content, so good for camping.

To use a Hopper Go, you would need a Hopper 3 or Hopper with Sling, and the new user interface. Internet is needed to set up the Hopper Go. -Brian L-
