Follow the Golden Rule

  • Treat others as you would like to be treated; please be respectful in your interactions with other users. By treating others with respect, we can turn the forum into a great community of support and conversation.  Do not knowingly post false and/or defamatory, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, potentially offensive, instigating, or sexually oriented content or content related to race, sex, religion, or politics.  Your opinions are always welcome but personal insults and harassment either on the forums or in private messages will not be tolerated.

Be responsible

  • You are responsible for your interactions with other users, so use your best judgement when posting on the forum. To keep our wall appropriate for all ages, refrain from using curse words, including abbreviations, acronyms, insinuations, or innuendos.
  • Do not post any personal information or information that is not your own including phone numbers, addresses, other contact information, account information, or any information that you do not have the right to provide to the public. In addition to protecting the privacy of yourself and others, please respect copyright, fair use, intellectual property, and other applicable laws.  Reference and cite sources appropriately and do not publish pictures or other materials from another person without their consent.

Use good forum etiquette

  • Please refrain from typing in all capital letters, enlarging text for emphasis, or using numerous exclamation points. Avoid spam-like, copy and pasting in your posts; your posts should be in your own words, not someone else’s.  Also, please do not multi-post, cross-post, or otherwise spam the forums.  If you have something you would like to share, consider adding it to your signature but remember that advertising is not allowed in either posts or signatures.  Remember this forum is a place to discuss DISH products and service and not to refer people elsewhere.
  • For the benefit of all users, please stay on topic. These forums are provided as a way to discuss and encourage knowledge sharing of DISH products and services.  Help us make the forums more robust and useful by sharing your knowledge and experience, you may have the answer to someone else’s question.
