is anyone else having problems with the vip722k receiver... had an orginal receiver when we first got dish 5 or so years ago.. it finally went kaput, picture would freeze up just the picture you could hear the sound in background , could change channel and the frozen picture would remain but could hear the new channel audio .. contacted dish and they sent me a reconditioned vip722k receiver , had it a f.ew weeks and it quit sending signal to tv2 in bed room.. called dish went through various tests agent said it was bad receiver , would send another wanted shipping fee , i felt we shouild not need to pay a fee for having given a bad receiver . well they weived shipping fee... ok good deal.. well received another 722 last friday hooked up worked fine in bed room went away for 3 days came back still worked good on tv2 bedroom for a2 nights than no signal.. called dish sending a third receiver.. wanted to charge shipping got them to weive it again.... just wondering if anyone else are having problems with this receiver??? what other receivers are available ?? not interested in dvr just want to watch tv..
Hello nuclearmac. We always want our members to have a great experience with us, and we know that having an on-going technical issue can definitely take a way from the experience. If multiple receivers are having the same issue, it's likely that there is another cause entirely. We would likely want to send a technician out there to review your system. 722k receivers came out in 2007 & have been obsolete for a few years since newer receivers replaced them so it's probably time to get something a little more current. The remanufactured ones are still using outdated electronics & software & I wouldn't consider them to be reliable. See if you can get Dish to replace yours with something newer.
