I've been with dish for going on 20 years my handicapped 57 year old down syndrome sitter lost her remote again ,now I usually call in and they send me one and charge it to my bill ,no problem ,now they say I have to pay 20$+ bucks now or no remote ,,,are you kidding me we r on a fixed income .dish you to be very nice I'm tired of this . Anybody else getting this treatment?

The protection plan doesn’t cover lost remotes. If they waived the cost before, it would have been a courtesy, however you should have had to pay before. What receiver do you have? I ask because there are 5 receivers out that have remote locators.
