We have had dish for years We often go 2-3 weeks without using the tv/receiver. Today we had the “acquiring signal” message and it would not go above bars after first getting to the “downloading program guide” screen which also never completed. Was able
To switch to watching tv twice but each time the screen froze. Called customer service spent 40 minutes with them resetting and repowering the box six times or more. The. Disconnected and no call back. Remote won’t work and can’t pull up menu on the receiver using a manual menu button. After all this time with tech support I’d like to get a tech here or a new receiver. Dish service is the worst. Hopefully will get a response here from them.

What type and how many receivers do you have? You may have a switch that needs reset.
