Dish has apparently decided they don’t need Duluth local stations and has stopped supplying them. Dish says that the local company doubled their rates. However, Quincey Broadcasting says that’s a lie and they haven’t raised it anywhere that around. Both organizations claim to be working around the clock to resolve the impasse. Hard to believe been working around the clock for 1 month (or 6 months in the case of CW). They suggest buying an antenna and doing over the air. Not too useful 120 miles from nearest broadcaster.
It seems to me that the only alternative is switching to directTV or dropping Dish and trying to go direct to NBC, CBS etc via streaming.
We’ve been pleased with Dish for 6 years now and am upset that they have totally abandoned us now.
Does Dish go for months elsewhere without local major channels? Is this a pattern nationally?
Any other suggestions for alternatives?
