NOPE, it is not worth it
I would lose channels I already have and I would have to pay $13 for sports just to save a $10 local channel charge.

My point which you are missing is simple, let a customer drop locals in order to save Money.

Not currently an option other than the Flex Pack. Just like most providers, however Dish did listen. That's why the Flex Pack exists, and why SlingTV exists. It's also why the Hopper3 exists.

If you have the Flex Pack you will have the option to have or not have the locals. In the Core packages, they are included and at this time, are unable to be removed.

Do you have something in writing that says you paid for lifetime locals? As far as I can remember, locals have been included as part of the standard packages for more than 7 years, so that seems unlikely to me. I suspect that you actually paid $100 for "HD for life".
