I have been a dish customer for many years, 18+ years and have loved the service but folks you are pricing yourself out of the market. With cable and internet and basically the same number of channels i can save 95 dollars a month. I really really do not want to leave dish but I don't know how i can justify staying with that much difference.
Flex pack was the option i was looking at but i guess it just isn't flexible enough even giving up dozens of channels i would still pay more.
I wish there was a way it could be even more granular down to individual channels so i could dump the dozens of shopping and religious channels i never watch but i suppose they wouldn't make much difference in cost.
I guess what i am saying dish, is I don't see how your long term future is good when a dedicated customer like me is at the end of my rope.
thank you for letting me vent
I agree. I've signed up with Directtv now for $35.00 and no equipment lease. I'm paying $45amonth for equipment. If it works out $35 is a whole lot better than $153 with 200 channels and equipment.
Sorry but that is just not right at least about the pricing against your competitors. I am not looking at introductory rates I know that scam. I can save close to 90 dollars a month if i bundle internet/tv. I realize that is unfair to Dish because of the bundle savings but that is the reality of your customers. Are they good as dish, no i doubt it especially when it comes to customer service but the average customer uses that so rarely it can't get past the savings.
I honestly don't know the answer it isn't fair to Dish I know with the current regulations. Expecting customers to save money using a old fashion antennae? lol no thanks not going back to that.

A modern HDTV antenna is nothing like those old antennas we used to have. Dish sent me a free one and I have it mounted in the attic, close to a vent that faces the majority of the local stations I want. It works great.
The only way I found out was thru this forum! No other info was sent. And by the way this new forum "SUCKS!!"
Dish employees are Masters at Deception, Lying, Misrepresentation, Offering discounts that NEVER appear on your bill.
I have never dealt with such a group of dishonest people in my life. They do EVERYTHING to make sure you pay at least $100/ month regardless of what they promise you. A small discount here offset by a bigger charge elsewhere. The Product Specialists are great at the Spin, a group of professional salesmen hell bent on not doing what you want, they will give you what They want!
This is Dish is all about!!!
