I too just noticed this "Dish Protect" charge on my bill.
You have to watch your DN bill like a hawk. They'll switch things, modify services and include opt-out only services like no other company I've seen.
Hmmm... how much would comcast cable TV cost me ... lets take look.
monster-grendel, we can understand the frustration when an offer starts to charge full price and changes your monthly rate. You can schedule many offers to end at the end of the promotional period. You can set this up through your Mydish.com account under the My Programming Section or on a connected Hopper 10 days after receiving the offer.
If you have questions or concerns about any offer on your account, please let us know! We are here to help!
What nonsense is this? Please honestly respond to the inquiry. Don't use ridiculous phrases like "new subscriber credits" that have no meaning. If you want to rip us off just raise your rates - don't employ slimy and deceptive tactics like the Silver rubbish.
We absolutely get why you would be upset when seeing charges you weren't expecting. When you first sign up with DISH service, we do provide free trial offers. These offers have expiration dates, where they will roll over to full price, and all the information to avoid being charged should be discussed with you at the time of creating your account.
