Also, in a similar manner, new customers do not just get a Hopper 3. They have to credit qualify. For a lot of new customers, they get charged as well.

As far as the exchange, the Hopper requires the DPH LNB and a Hub, rather than a DPP LNB and a Node. There is quite a bit of work to be done on a H3 upgrade.
