We have a 211k DISH satellite receiver. It is connected to an Winegard GM-1518 Carry-out portable single-LMB antenna. We travel most of the year and have been using this system for years. At our current location, we have about 50% strength on the three satellites (110, 119 and 129). We receive both High-def and Standard transmissions.
The problem: On three (and only three) of Standard-transmission stations on the 110 Satellite, the sound (only) "hiccups" every 10-or-20 seconds. The stations affected are standard 117, 187 and 193. It is most noticeable on 187. Other stations that use 110 do not display this problem. There is no break-up or pixelation of the video. Satellites 119 and 129 do not have this problem.
We have not seen this problem before, even when travelling this summer as far north as Duluth MN. and as far east as Roanoke VA..
We are currently located in Gulf Shores, AL. Our magnetic azimuth is 221.7 deg with an elevation of 47.1 deg. There are no obstructions and the line-of-sight does not cross any major cities before hitting the Gulf of Mexico.
We certainly don't like seeing you having this viewing experience, cmaize, and would love to check some things with you to help get this resolved. Will you send a private message with your account/phone number and 4 digit security code, please?
