Dish just rolled out a new update that contains a bug that will not allow my wireless joeys to connect to the internet via the hopper. Due to this, I'm not allowed to access any online features such as Netflix, which I pay for each month. You would think since Dish is such a large company that the engineers would test the updates before rolling them out to their customers. And get this, I was given a date of 4/26 before they thought it would be fixed. Dish blows.
These are the latest updates for the receiver on the older user interface. These were last updated back in January. We do have a recent release for the new UI. Would you like to get switched over to the new UI?
Very well. Keep in mind this will be lengthy process as all receivers in your home will need to be updated.
Please follow these steps at the Hopper exactly. If you have more than one Hopper - perform them at both.
1. Press the MENU button 2. Select Settings 3. Select Diagnostics 4. Select Updates 5. Press the PLAY(â–º) button twice, then the RECALL button 6. Select Download Now on the Update Software 1573 pop-up 7. Place all connected Joeys in Standby
If you would like to perform this overnight, select Download Later on Step 6.
