I have two older Dish Hoppers hooked up to one TV. Since only one hopper is on, can two hoppers be configured to use the same echo dot? Contacted Dish via chat and the rep said no. Has anyone tried using the same Echo Dot on two Hoppers? If not, is this a limitation of the Hoppers or the Echo Dot?
Unfortunately this is not possible. You would need a second Alexa device to control each Hopper. The Alexa app only allows you to pair to one receiver at a time. I cannot say where the limitation is but it can be both.
Posted a reply a little while ago but it must have got lost or deleted.
Contacted Amazon Echo support and they said it IS possible to use one Dot on two Hoppers. Has anyone at Dish tried this before saying it's not possible without any explanation?
I just triple checked and did some testing. It can only be paired to 1 receiver at a time.
