I get software upgrades almost every day with reboots and it interferes with recording programs. Does the system really needs daily system upgrades and reboots? I'm heading back to Direct TV as soon as my contract is over!
I can definitely understand the frustration of getting interrupted in the middle of a recording. The Hopper will do its nightly updates late at night to refresh things like software, guide, apps. We did receive feedback about this function and you can now customize the time when you would like this update to occur.
To change the update time, depending on your remote press the Home button twice or the Menu button once and select Settings > Power > Daily Reset Timer. On this drop down list, just select the time that will work best with your viewing schedule.
