Switched to DISH about a month ago. Have new 4k TV connected through a joey to the Hopper3 and picture quality is terrible. Have gone through all the settings on the TV and the joey with no change in the quality of the picture. Images up close look ok but when the picture pans out people look like they have blurring all around them and watching sports is the biggest offender.
Has anyone else had an issue like this?
Would appreciate any help.
Chadt4141, Thank you for the reply. I have to admit I some what of a novice on all of this so, please excuse the stupid question... How do I Caibrate the TV?
Try readjusting your contrast and sharpness on the TV. I just installed two new 4K's in my bedrooms with HDMI cables and they look great.
Sorry to hear you're having this problem, but it's a known issue. I purchased a Sony 4k tv less than a month ago and the picture quality is horrible. Some channels are better than others, but my 9 year old tv had a better picture quality than my new one. I bought a Roku 4k stick and stream all my content and it's crystal clear. I download Apps from Fox, CNN, HGTV, ESPN and use my dish account to activate them. A technician came out to install my Hopper 3 and said it's how they transmit the signal and it won't be clear. I'm sure he used more technical words to describe the reason, but at the end of the day, it's a DISH issue. I just plan to live with it, until my contract is up. If you have the ability to stream content, that is the way to go. ESPN streaming looks like 4k with the Roku 4k stick, but DISH is unwatchable. Good luck!
