Message on TV

Every day when I'm watching any TV show,
I get a message on my TV that says
"Are you still there"

Why? And, how do I stop this from
happening.

Message means you've had it on for hours without changing the channel and it's wanting to go into standby. There are settings to change the time to always on or 6 hours, etc. Lots of options available in the settings.

Is this on Netflix? Dish message will say something along the lines of inactivity standby, your receiver will shut off in xx minutes
