Hopper 3 Upgrade and LNB change

Upgrading to the Hopper 3 from Hopper with Sling.  I've read online that the Hopper 3 requires a special LNB.  Will this need to be changed on my dish or is the one i'm currently using with the Hopper 2 suffice?

It will need to be upgraded. It’s the DPH LNB. You can also use a DPH 42 switch.

Techinical support is saying no changes needed to the dish since i have Hopper with Sling so not sure what to beleive.

I wouldn't care either way but the dish was installed high up on a TV tower due to big trees around the house and I understand that Dish techs are not allowed to service dishes on towers.  Only way to get up there is to climb or use a lift of some sorts.

Chad - are you saying the switch can be used instead of replacing the LNB?  See my concerns due to my dish location in my other reply.

DPH42 switch should be fine be, I do believe.
