Help with Dish on Demand

I am new to the community.  I rented my first Dish on Demand movie yesterday 3/18/18 at about 6:00 pm the listing stated it would be available for 48 hours which was great since only one of us could watch it yesterday and 2 of us today, Monday 3/19/18.  At 8:15 am Monday morning we had no access to the movie.  

Is this typical? Why would it tell us 48 hours and we only had ???? as far as we know, only the time it took to watch the movie 1x last night?

Any suggestions, are we missing something?

In the Rentals folder did it show as Expired, or did it show Available Until (date)?

 

With pay per view movies it unlocks the channel for a 24 hour period, starting sometime in the middle of the night usually -- not 24 hours from when it's rented. Video On Demand events may sometimes have a longer availability.

 

Had you ordered from the Guide (if so, which channel?), or through the On Demand menu?

I tried to watch a movie I rented just after the movie finished.  It's not in my rentals, it's not on my dvr, I had the message it is available for 48 hours after starting to watch...is this just another Dish "cheat you at the drive through"?  I have family who wanted to watch it after they got home from work.  What is the deal?

I am sorry to hear you are unable to locate the movie you rented. If you go back to On Demand and select the movie again, does it have a "Watch" option?
