I have one external hard drive for my hopper which is 90% full. Has anyone tried adding a second hard drive to their hopper?

There is no limit as to how many EHDs can be used. They both may not work at the same time they are connected but they will both work assuming they meet the required specs

I've almost always had 2 - I back up different programming to each one. Works just fine.

2 drives are hard to keep track of what you have recorded

I have 2 EXT Hard Drives that are 2 TB each, both hooked up at the same time back of H3, they work just fine all together, but like I said earlier post, the H3 doesn't always detect them after the nightly reboots. I have had this setup of about 10 years dating back to my vip622. Sometimes things will work even though dish says that they don't support such items.
