Disney channels - HDCP TV Not Supported

Hello,

I am a current Dish subscriber. All worked well for months. As of yesterday, Disney channels 172 and 173 started receiving error 890

[quote:278o2wvl]HDCP TV Not Supported.

The receiver has detected that the HD television or the digital connection to the TV does not support High bandwidth Digital Protection.[/quote:278o2wvl]

Other channels work fine.
Nothing else changed -- TVs are 2016 models. All connected with HDMI cables.
I unplugged / re-plugged the cables
Restarted everything -- receiver, TV

Would greatly appreciate your help fixing this issue.

Thank you.

This message displays when selecting an HD Premium Channel, PPV, VOD, and most channels, and the TV is not HDCP-capable, and is connected with an HDMI or DVI cable.

To comply with movie industry standards, DISH, as well as all TV providers, must enforce content protection standards when required. This message indicates that your TV or HDMI/DVI cable is not HDCP compatible. It is likely your TV was manufactured before industry standards required HDCP.

What kind of cable is connecting your TV to the receiver?

The TVs are Sony Bravia, 2016 model. They support HDCP 2.2.

The message disappeared for 3 days, so I thought it "resolved itself".

Today, the message is back.

Something is messed up with either Dish or Disney. I really hope Dish support will get on this ASAP.

Unplug the power cable to both your receiver and your tv. It's a handshake issue with your tv and receiver.
