Is RG59 coax cable adequate for residential point to point runs with the VIP 722k receiver?

RG6 is the preferred cable. RG59 is a thinner cable. Dish installers only use RG6.

Didn't know that RG59 cable and connectors were still available. My house was built 19 years ago and RG6 cable was installed.

rg6 cable has less lose at higher frequencies then rg59, and is better suited for satellite signal reception.
