722K causes TV to go Haywire

TV flickers in and out, randomly loses picture, etc. This is when the HDMI coming from 722k receiver is plugged in. Note that this happens even when I am not watching Dish. I could have any of the various apps on the TV loaded such as Netflix, Amazon Video, etc. Still flickers of and on.

If I unplug the HDMI from the receiver everything works perfect as far as the apps go, Of course there is no Dish since the HDMI is unplugged.

Also, I have unplugged receiver a few times to reset it and it never gets past the DISH starting up screen.

Seems like a bad receiver but was wondering if someone had a clue why this could be happening.

Have you tried resetting both the TV and the receiver by physically unplugging both power cables and plugging back in?

HDMI power control. Some tvs and devices, like the DISH receiver are configured to share commands and power through the HDMI cord. Use your TV settings in the menu to disable this feature.
